Custom Controller Sule Visits Sokoto, Kebbi

The Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC), Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR’s vision for collaboration, consolidation, and innovation, the Comptroller of the Federal Operations Unit (FOU), Zone B, Kaduna, Aminu Sule, has concluded a strategic working tour of the Sokoto and Kebbi Area Commands.

The tour was aimed at deepening operational synergy, strengthening border management, and fostering community partnership for improved trade facilitation and revenue generation across the zone.

In Kebbi State, Comptroller Sule was warmly received by the Area Controller, Comptroller Ibrahim Mahmoud Matawalle, and later paid courtesy visits to two revered monarchs the Emir of Gwandu, Major General Muhammad Iliyasu Bashar (Rtd), CFR, mni, who is also the Chairman of the Kebbi State Council of Chiefs, and the Emir of Argungu, Alhaji Samaila Muhammad Mera, CON.

Both royal fathers commended the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) for its crucial role in promoting legitimate trade and safeguarding the national economy. They pledged continued collaboration with Customs in sensitizing their communities against smuggling and other economic crimes

Similarly, the Emir of Argungu described the Service as “a vital partner in regional stability and economic growth,” assuring sustained cooperation with enforcement and public sensitization efforts. Responding, Comptroller Sule expressed gratitude for the warm reception and pledged to sustain the partnership.
